BARNARD GRIFFIN

Columbia Valley

Rob and his wife, Deborah Barnard, established Barnard Griffin Winery in 1983 with a small truckload of borrowed fruit and a rented cellar. It has now grown to become one of Washington’s most enduring and award-winning wineries. Rob and Deborah built the winery’s permanent home in Richland, Washington in 1996. The Barnard Griffin campus houses their production facility, tasting room, full service restaurant and fused glass art studio.
Maintaining true craftsmanship, Rob continues to be fully engaged in the winemaking and leadership of Barnard Griffin. The early vision of handcrafting the highest quality Washington wine continues to drive the company as Rob and Deborah move to incorporate a second generation.

GRAMERCY CELLARS

Columbia Valley

A Manhattan-based Master Sommelier tastes some Washington State wines and is so inspired, he sells everything to move across the country to make his own. That’s the start of the story of Gramercy Cellars, where a close eye on the grapes (picked for almost-peak ripeness, mostly organic), matched with minimalist wine making techniques (no or little new oak, no additives) and a lot of time (extended aging) has created wine that’s considered some of the best that Washington offers.

LATTA WINES & KIND STRANGER

Columbia Valley

Latta Wines was founded in 2011 by winemaker and owner Andrew Latta. It is the product of years of sweat equity, a gamut from cellar hand to winemaker at a Washington winery of note.  Andrew is now proud to share his personal wines. He was born and raised in Kentucky, the restaurant world his path to wine. A similar trajectory up from the basement as a busser to a Sommelier working in Thailand exposed him to the wines of world. While developing award-winning wine programs, Washington State stood out among all the emerging and traditional wine-growing regions. So, sight unseen, fifteen years ago he jumped into his first harvest in Walla Walla and year after year Washington still delivers.

REQUIEM

Columbia Valley

Our work in Oregon with AVERÆN put Washington State on the radar, big time.  We've been hungry for a good Cabernet project that speaks to the quality of what we’ve historically made in Napa Valley, but at an irresistible price point.  Finding the right fruit has taken several years, but we’re thrilled to have uncovered a true gem in our newest project, REQUIEM Wines.  Our inaugural release comes from a blend of four parcels from some of the top vineyards in the Columbia Valley and we are fortunate to have teamed up with some top-notch partners at an amazing boutique winery in Walla Walla to occupy a corner of their winery.
